The Idea

NeighborGoods.net is the leading community for local resource sharing. NeighborGoods powers the Mount Rainier Community Tool Shed and we would like to support their efforts by adding a few useful items to their inventory. The tool shed helps members save money and resources while building community.

The Specifics

The tool shed currently owns one working lawn mower. Rather than fixing the two broken gas mowers they have, NeighborGoods would like to purchase a new electric mower that will cost less over time on repairs and reduce emissions. Most people don’t own a drain snake, so even a simple blockage requires calling out a professional. By purchasing a drain snake we plan to save residents a substantial amount of money by helping them avoid the high cost of unnecessary plumbing bills. Finally, we would like purchase 30 pairs of gloves for use during cleanup and gardening projects to make sure our Mount Rainier neighbors are protected while they are working to make their community better and more beautiful.
